Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 35-bed Orthopedic/Surgical unit, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• Care for patients undergoing bariatric procedures (e.g., gastric bypass, gastric sleeve), orthopedic surgeries (e.g., total hip and knee replacements), and general surgical procedures (e.g., laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy)
• Utilize facility EMR (MEDITECH) and unit equipment including computers on wheels, Hospira pumps, and iMobile phones
• Float to designated areas including Med/Renal, Oncology, Med/Surg Tele, CVTS, and Telemetry as needed
• Fulfill expected weekend shift commitments (4 weekend shifts per schedule or 2 full weekends); night shift weekends include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Collaborate as part of a team-oriented unit alongside charge nurses, CNCs, PCTs, and unit clerks

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (required)
• Current BLS Certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical setting
• Willingness and ability to float to other units as assigned

• Medical Surgical Certification
• Orthopedic Certification
• ACLS Certification
