Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Critical Care and Intermediate Care units based on facility needs, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio in Critical Care
• Independently manage critically ill patients including those requiring ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and airway/suctioning
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and 12-lead EKG analysis; manage vasoactive drip titration, sedation, and insulin/heparin infusions
• Manage arterial and central lines; interpret ABGs; respond to Code and Rapid Response situations
• Provide care for patients with stroke/NIHSS, sepsis/septic shock, DKA, chest tube needs, and blood product administration
• Document accurately using Epic electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license required at time of submission; ASN accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Adult ICU experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must be able to independently manage critically ill patients with minimal orientation
• Local candidates are welcome; a local rate differential applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Medical ICU setting
• Familiarity with float pool environments and ability to adapt across Critical Care and Intermediate Care settings
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
