Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds — heavy telemetry focus
• Care for adult patients; pediatric assignments are reserved for permanent staff
• Apply strong Neuro and Cardiac assessment and intervention skills throughout each shift
• Perform IV access and medication administration independently, as there is no dedicated IV team on unit
• Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to manage Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
• Collaborate with on-unit support staff including telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency or ability to work with Sunrise Allscripts EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Comfort with floating to ICU in a Medical Surgical overflow capacity
