Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel Contract)

Contract | Travel | Nights | 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed ICU setting with a generally 2:1 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamics, CRRT, ICP, and EVD
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line setup/insertion, intubation, chest tube management, thoracentesis, and tracheostomy care
• Administer and monitor specialty therapies including Nitric Oxide, TPN/PPN, pacemakers, hemodialysis, and Swan-Ganz catheterization
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to IMC/PCU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (must be valid for the state of Utah)
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency with pressure drip management
• Experience with ICU equipment including vents, pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, CRRT, chest tubes, balloon pumps, and Impella devices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech charting system
• Familiarity with Train of Four monitoring and proning techniques
• Experience with balloon pumps and Impella devices
