Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced PCU setting, including those with congestive heart failure, NSTEMI, AFib with RVR, and post-cardiac catheterization diagnoses
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Administer and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem/Diltiazem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and insulin; manage Heparin protocol and PCA
• Perform blood product administration, peripheral IV management, phlebotomy, and IV insertion and maintenance
• Conduct hourly rounding, timely patient discharge coordination, and bedside shift report for all patients
• Float within scope to other like units based on facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Telemetry RN experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prophecy/Relias Basic EKG assessment required
• 4 hours of stroke continuing education annually required
• Strong telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and pre- and post-cardiac catheterization experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred
• First-time travel nurses are eligible to apply
