Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU setting, monitoring and managing intermediate-acuity patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms as part of routine patient assessment
• Initiate and manage IV access, including IV starts and maintenance
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation, order management, and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to unit dress code: Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — candidates without a license will not be considered; if license is pending, proof that the process is underway is required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 3+ years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and IV starts
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO); any RTO must be disclosed at time of submission — especially around holidays
• Candidates residing within 31–50 miles of the facility are welcome and will be considered at a local rate; candidates residing less than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Intermediate to advanced familiarity with patient flow management in a stepdown environment
• Experience with Cerner EMR
