Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include administering medications, participating in patient care planning, and maintaining infection control. The LPN organizes care effectively and communicates changes in patient conditions to the supervising RN. This role emphasizes interpersonal relationships and supports patient instruction during hospitalization and discharge, while also encouraging ongoing education for staff.
