Description:Data Collection: 6/3/2026 Unit Information: (insert name) Location: VRMC Address: 100 E Alton Gloor Blvd Floor: Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds -214 Number of Staff 34 Type of staff: o Day Shift 3 (2 RD + 1 CNM) o Night Shift - No RD coverage Patient Ratios ~12-18/RD Daily (ICU, NICU, PCU, Med-Surg, Telemetry, Oncology, Maternal, Behavioral Health, Cardiac Rehabilitation) Type of equipment - EMR Meditech, Health Touch Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. RDN Credential LDN Credential Strong nutrition assessment and documentation skills. Knowledge of ASPEN guidelines Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Previous acute care hospital experience. Nutrition support experience. NICU/Critical Care experience. List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Nutrition assessment and reassessment. Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) Malnutrition identification and documentation. Nutrition Support recommendations. Diet education and counseling. Calorie counts. Multidisciplinary rounds participation. Best personality Fit: Team-Oriented REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Credential Texas Licensed Dietitian (LD) Floating Area(s): Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Professional business casual, black scrubs. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Follow ASPEN nutrition support guidelines. Complete assessment w/in required timeframes. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds. Adhere to hospital documentation standards. Follow infection prevention policies. Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards Weekends and On call(if any) No weekends On-Call: CNM available for nutrition support questions and urgent clinical needs. Mae Carol has been a huge bright spot during my on boarding process she takes what looks like a difficult process and makes it appear smooth .. thanks to her hard work and dedication I have always been able to start my contracts on time … her and Akash pannu make a dynamic duo and I’m thankful for them Both .. you can not go wrong with these two that is why I’m a repeat customer !!
