Do RN's read strips?No- Are RNs required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab?Once a week, RN is required to attend the weekly meeting/huddle amoung all the disciplines in the department. - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?No charge nurse. 1 nurse per shift and 1 PCT on each shift. - Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/RatiosYes, 1:7- PT/OT/SLP/Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab?PT, OT, SLP- RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Cpap, Bipap, High Flow- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)"Shifts: RNs 7-7, CNAs 6-6 No self-scheduling. Schedules are discussed with staff and Set schedules are usually followed depending on staff preference and personal needs. Schedule is adjusted accordingly when vacations and holidays need to be covered. No block scheduling. "- Weekend RequirementsEvery other weekend- Holiday Requirements"May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation. Currently the holidays are: - GROUP 1 New Years Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve &- GROUP 2 Memorial Day, Labor Day and Christmas. Alternate every other year Group 1 to Group 2."- Call or Standby RequirementTypically there are always patients on the unit. Standby only if no census. No one on call. - Floating Requirements "Floating only occurs if there is no census on rehab unit. Could float to any other MS, MS-Tele, or IMC to take lower acuity patients. "- Scrub Color/Dress Code"Nursing: Navy blue scrubs PCTS: Ceil blue scrubs - No ward clerk/secretary on this unit. There is a part time unit case manager in this department. "- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?1 Day with Educator, 1-2 days with a preceptor Cancellation Policy:Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks.
