Description

** Must be comfortable in a busy, fast paced acute psych hospital. Adaptable, Team player, versatile. Must be flexible to work any nights of the week including EOW Patient population is all adult: 100 level are depression and suicidal 200 level are severe mental illness 300 level are mix of both. Small detox unit as well. Must be able to float between units. Med cart, pass meds, admissions, discharges, patient assessments. (10-15 daily) Fast paced. May have to deal with aggression with some physical holds. No IV or Wound Care. Locals are the same rate as travelers. 40 % voluntary admission and 60% committed patients (temporary 8 days then transferred). Approximate ratio 1:12 At least 2 nurses per unit. Sometimes 1 RN and 1 LPN. EOW and 1 holiday per winter season required. Handle with Care certification required but can provide that onsite if needed.
