**Must be proficient in: Neuro, Trauma, ENT, Robotics
General Information:
Beds:
12 OR’s
20 Pre-Op bays
14 PACU bays
Required Experience: 2 years of OR – Level 1 or 2 trauma experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
Patient Types:
Surgical (Urology/Neuro/Ortho/Robotic/General/Podiatry/ENT)
Patient Ratios:
OR 1:1
Pre-Op 1:2
PACU Phase I - 1:1 or 1:2, based on acuity
PACU Phase II - 1:2-3
Required Certifications:
CST:
BLS
CST-NBSTSA (Preferred)
Education Required:
CST: associate degree in healthcare related field or graduate from accredited surgical tech program (Not required if nationally certified)
Skills required:
CST: 2 years of experience with above mentioned case types;
Davinci XI and Craniotomy experience is required for Trauma
Support on the Unit:
Surgery

Charting System/Equipment:
EPIC
Floating: If yes, where?
CST/FA: could float to Central Sterile Processing, as needed. Traveler float first.
Orientation: (facility and unit)
1 week
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation – If position is posted as weekend only and on call, every 3rd weekend
Call:
Call needs are subject to change as needs of the department change
CVOR: one overnight per week 7p-7a and every 3rd weekend Fri 1500 – Mon 0700
Main OR: discussed during interview
Sleep room will be in Pre-Op/PACU area as it will be closed
Couches in break room
15 min response time
Holiday Expectations: 2/4 major holidays
Approval of time off? Reach out to Manager for approval. May volunteer low census without pay.
