We're currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher ($42-52/hr) to support students (ages 5th and 6th grade level) near the Homer Glen Illinois area.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Special Education or Related Studies
• LBS1 certification through ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education)
• New Graduates are welcome

Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

• Full time in person
• Dates:  August 25, 2025-June 15, 2026
• Hours:     7:30am - 2:30pm M-F
• Setting:   You will work with the Life Skills Functional Class - Middle school ages - 5th and 6th graders

Key Responsibilities:  

• Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals
• Support in the classroom with all disciplines.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students
• Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
