Job Title: MS/Tele RN – Surgical/Ortho Unit (12-Hour Nights) Contract Length: 8 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Hours: 48 Hours/Week Required (No 36-hour ) Shift: 12-Hour Nights – No Block Scheduling Scrub Color: Black Key Job Details Unit Type: Med/Surg Telemetry (Surgical/Orthopedic focus) Facility Size: 340-bed Level II Trauma Center Unit Size: Varies from 15–45 beds Patient Ratio: 1:6 Float Requirement: RNs will float throughout all inpatient Med/Surg/Tele areas as needed. May be assigned as an aide if needed in another unit. On-Call: Not required Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and holiday required (unless approved for time off) Minimum Requirements Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience in the specialty Must have Level I or II Trauma Center experience Certifications KY or Compact RN license AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS EKG test required – to be completed during onboarding/compliance Skills Required: General Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing Ability to read and interpret telemetry/ECG strips Charting System: Experience with CareView or EPIC preferred (EPIC implemented as of June 1); onsite training provided if needed Traveler Guidelines Radius Rule: Must live outside 75 miles of Pikeville, KY COVID Requirements: Vaccination required unless a medical or religious exemption is submitted and approved
