Weekend Option Registered Nurse (RN) – Coronary Care Unit
📍 Location: Likely Marietta, GA (Wellstar Hospital)
💼 Type: Part-Time, Night Shift, Weekend Option
This role is a weekend option position for an RN working in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), commonly referred to as Cardiac ICU. The focus is on providing critical care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in an intensive care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients
- Monitor and manage life-support equipment, IV drips, and cardiac-related interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
- Adhere to Wellstar Health System policies, quality standards, and code of conduct
- Engage in ongoing education and performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate or Bachelor’s degree)
- BSN preferred
License/Certification:
- Active GA RN license or Compact license required
- BLS certification required (Instructor/Provisional acceptable)
Experience:
- Critical care/ICU experience strongly preferred
- Ability to perform calmly in stressful, fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in use of advanced cardiac care technology and protocols
