Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Occupational Therapist – OT in the Kent, WA area.

We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapists ($59-$66/hr, depending on experience) to support K-12 students by enhancing students' functional abilities to achieve their academic and daily living goals.

Qualifications:
- Registered Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in the state of Washington
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with school populations required
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- In-depth knowledge of motor and sensory motor disabilities in an educational environment
Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details:
- In-person only
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time
- August 25, 2025 - June 12, 2026
- Caseload: K-12, but possibility of specific age group requests
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
- Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
