Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Plano, TX
*New graduates will only be considered if they had SNF experience during their clinical rotations.
Job description:
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients following physician referrals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments
- Supervise and guide Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Technicians
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress
- Participate in care coordination meetings and patient discharge planning
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safety measures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state regulations and professional standards
- Travel between facilities may be required
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to supervise support staff and manage caseloads
- Must meet all local health regulations, including passing a drug test and physical exam
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including transferring patients (up to 250 lbs)
- Willingness to travel between treatment locations as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
