Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist – Direct Hire
Facility: OSF Saint Francis Medical Center
Location: 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL, 61637
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Shifts: Varied

💰 Compensation & Incentives

Salary Range: $31.49 – $37.05/hour (Based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus:
- Up to $15,000 for a 2-year commitment
- Up to $20,000 for a 3-year commitment
Relocation Assistance: Discussed during the interview on a case-by-case basis

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Deliver respiratory care per provider orders across various hospital units (general, ICU, ED)
Manage and initiate mechanical ventilation (including advanced modes)
Respond to rapid response and code blue situations, acting as primary airway manager
Administer specialty medical gases (Heliox, Nitric Oxide, etc.)
Assess patient response and recommend changes to therapy
Accurately document interventions and outcomes in EMR per TJC and Medicare guidelines
Participate in interdisciplinary rounding in ICUs and intermediate care units

✅ Requirements

Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Active Respiratory Care Practitioner License in Illinois (or eligible)
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
EMR documentation skills
Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including a full-panel drug test
