Description
Types of patients COVID, resp, GI, Diabetics, Tele, TIA, CVA as well as general, orthopedic and spinal surgical patients,. Experience or 'Must have' skills Reading basic tele strips, some experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA and TIA. Cerner experience recommended as there is only one day of orientation Are RN's required to titrate drips No Common titratable &/or set rate drips Diltiazem at a set rate Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? Tele is monitored remotely, tele techs are on the 3rd floor. Monitor techs read and post strips. RN’s are required to interpret strips and sign at least once a shift. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Both. charge does not take a patient assignment Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios Yes 1:10-15 RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Bipap, Cpap, high flow, and some breathing treatments.
