Position: Travel Nurse – Labor & Delivery / High-Risk OB Facility: Sioux City, IA Role Overview: As part of an interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes advanced clinical expertise in managing and delivering patient care. The nurse may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses and is expected to handle high-acuity, high-volume deliveries, including patients from diverse, non-English-speaking populations. Excellent clinical judgment is essential, as nurses perform critical triage and assessments prior to physician evaluation. Details & Requirements: Deliveries per Month: 160–180 High-Risk Population: Yes NBO: 16 hrs EMR: EPIC OT/Holiday Pay: 1.15x Call Back Pay: 1.15x (2-hr minimum) On Call: $9/hr Charge/Precept: $6/hr Billable OT: After 40 hrs/week (36–40 hr schedule) or after 48 hrs/week (48 hr schedule) Holidays 2025: Must work 2 of 3 (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving); limited days off between 11/26–11/30 and 12/23–1/2 for all travelers Qualifications: Strong Labor & Delivery experience in high-volume or high-risk centers Excellent clinical and assessment skills Ability to manage diverse patient populations and triage effectively Comfort floating within OB units across local campuses This role is ideal for experienced L&D nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings and can independently manage patient care with confidence.
