Respiratory Therapist – RRT

Location: Sterling, Illinois

Shift: Rotating Shifts – flexibility required (may switch between day and night shifts as needed)
Call: Rotating call schedule – must be willing to pick up call shifts upon Director’s request

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and able to provide high-quality respiratory care across multiple shifts as needed. Epic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients per physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Respond to emergencies and provide acute interventions as required.
• Document all patient care accurately in Epic (preferred) or other electronic health record systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills
• Epic EHR experience preferred
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts (day/night)
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
