Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room - First Assist

Licensure & Experience
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required.
- Experience with heart transplants required.
- Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) using:
  - Hemopro 2 and/or
  - Vasoview 6 systems.
- Scrubbing is required — this is not a circulator-only position.
Clinical Skills & Experience
- Must be able to independently perform endoscopic vein harvesting.
- Must have prior CVOR (Cardiovascular OR) experience.
- Must be comfortable in a Level 1 Trauma environment.
- Experience assisting in open heart and transplant surgeries (including heart, liver, renal, pancreas).
Patient & Case Types
- Adult patients only (no pediatrics).
- Common case types:
  - Cardiothoracic / Vascular / Transplant (heart, liver, renal, pancreas)
  - Neuro / Trauma / General / Ortho / GYN / Urology / ENT / Plastics
  - Robotic / Hybrid room procedures (cysto, bronch, lead extraction)
  - Ambulatory ortho / Burn / Hepatic-biliary
