Description
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds: 29
· Type of equipment: Welch Allyn dynamaps, Phillips telemetry, Phillips MP2, Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Hill-Rom beds, iMobile devices, MobiLab
· Documentation system: Meditech
· Scheduling requirements: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Self-scheduling (within reason to allow balanced staffing). May request days off as needed prior to schedule closing. Schedule will be finalized 2 weeks in advance. Can accommodate block scheduling for night shift.
· Floating policy: Travel RNs float first. We rotate floating, and the oldest float date will float first.
· Patient Experience requirements: We have a heavy cardiac patient population, and the CV surgery patients come to PCU when they leave our ICU. We perform Q6H head-to-toe assessments and chart each one fully. We do the usual PCU gtts – Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Cardene, Labetolol, Insulin, and we also titrate Precedex.
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
