• Performs all steps of the Nursing Process using evidence-based care.

• Partners with patients and families in care planning and updates.

• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe patient care.
• Promotes effective interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.

Professional Development & Initiative

• Completes mandatory and population-specific education.
• Acts as preceptor/mentor to peers and students.
• Models professional nursing behavior within a healthy work environment.

Evidence-Based Practice & Research

• Promotes use of research and continuous quality improvement.
• Ensures compliance with policies, regulatory, and safety standards (e.g., TJC goals).
• Participates in data collection and applies evidence to clinical questions.

Resources & Support

• Plans patient care across the continuum.
• Assists in protocol and procedure development to reduce readmissions and adverse events.
• Supports efficient resource utilization and cost-effective care.

Required Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Active RN license (Georgia or Multi-state Compact)
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support; Instructor option accepted)
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience
• Skills:
  • English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Basic computer literacy and technology use in clinical care
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Effective time management and ability to handle fast-paced environments
  • Evidence-based and critical thinking proficiency
