Description

OR Tech 2 (Tier 2) – Research Medical Center (Kansas City, MO)

Permanent | Contingent | $25–$35/hr (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 | Shift Differentials: $3 Nights / $3 Weekends

Facility: Research Medical Center – 585+ bed hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health
Location: 2316 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64132

Shifts Available:

Mixed Schedule (3x12s, rotating weekends)
Nights (3x12s, rotating weekends)
On-Call Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of facility

Key Responsibilities

Set up and maintain surgical suites and equipment
Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transport
Provide surgical instruments and anticipate surgeon needs
Maintain sterile technique and support efficient room turnover
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Experience: 1+ year as OR Tech
Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited CORT program
- CST certification (NBSTSA) preferred
- BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
Competency: Must be able to first scrub in 3 of 4 areas – Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular
