Description

OR Tech 2 (Tier 2) – Research Medical Center (Kansas City, MO)

Permanent | Contingent | $25–$35/hr (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 | Shift Differentials: $3 Nights / $3 Weekends

Facility: Research Medical Center – 585+ bed hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health
Location: 2316 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64132

Shifts Available:

  • Mixed Schedule (3x12s, rotating weekends)
  • Nights (3x12s, rotating weekends)
    On-Call Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of facility

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain surgical suites and equipment
  • Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transport
  • Provide surgical instruments and anticipate surgeon needs
  • Maintain sterile technique and support efficient room turnover
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ year as OR Tech
  • Certification:
    • Graduate of an accredited CORT program
    • CST certification (NBSTSA) preferred
    • BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
  • Competency: Must be able to first scrub in 3 of 4 areas – Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular
