🧪 Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist – Blood Bank
Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30046
Assignment Type: 13-week contract
Shift: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM (includes every 3rd weekend)
Local Radius: No local candidates within 50 miles
Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Blood Bank and Core Laboratory team at GMC. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory procedures with precision and accuracy, supporting high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Blood Bank / Core Laboratory.
- Current certification from one of the following: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS.
- Proven experience in Chemistry and Hematology testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Note:
Only Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) candidates will be considered.
Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) will not be accepted.
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Schedule: Includes every 3rd weekend
- Duration: 13 weeks
Holiday Coverage Requirements
Candidate must agree to work:
- One (1) major holiday: Christmas Day or New Year’s Day
- One (1) minor holiday: Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve
