Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Travel Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team on a temporary assignment. The technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate is experienced, adaptable, and comfortable working in diverse clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; report any technical issues promptly.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission for physician review.
• Document patient information and maintain accurate imaging records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality policies.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program.
• License/Certification:
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT(S) certification required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Travel experience preferred but not required.
• Specialties: Experience in one or more of the following preferred: General, OB/GYN, Vascular, or Echocardiography.
