Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced OR RN to join a busy surgical team. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of circulating experience in a hospital setting, with the ability to scrub cases preferred. This role involves circulating cases, assisting with room turnover and cleaning, transporting patients, and scheduling procedures. You will independently support a wide range of surgeries, including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology procedures, ensuring efficient and safe patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently circulate surgical cases and assist with case turnover and room preparation.
- Transport patients to and from the OR as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate surgical cases efficiently.
- Utilize OR equipment and systems, including Meditech and PYXIS, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency.
- Participate in call rotation, responding promptly within 30 minutes as required.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrubs provided).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Nurse with active Hawaii RN license.
- Minimum 2–3 years of OR circulating experience in a hospital setting; scrubbing experience preferred.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work variable shifts and respond effectively during call assignments.
