Description
Position: Pharmacist
Facility: Northwest Medical Center
Shift: 20:00–07:30 (7 on / 7 off rotation starting 12/26/25)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Description:
The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and designated hospital areas. Duties include:
- Collaborating with physicians on drug selection and dosing
- Educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use
- Supporting medication safety initiatives
- Managing patient medication profiles and monitoring for adverse drug reactions
- Preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
- Ensuring narcotic accountability
All work must comply with state/federal laws, DEA regulations, TJC standards, and hospital/department policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a high-acuity acute care setting
- Experience with NICU and cardiac cases (including Impella/ECMO) required
