Pharmacist (2 years)

Description

Position: Pharmacist
Facility: Northwest Medical Center
Shift: 20:00–07:30 (7 on / 7 off rotation starting 12/26/25)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Description:
The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and designated hospital areas. Duties include:

Collaborating with physicians on drug selection and dosing
Educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use
Supporting medication safety initiatives
Managing patient medication profiles and monitoring for adverse drug reactions
Preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
Ensuring narcotic accountability

All work must comply with state/federal laws, DEA regulations, TJC standards, and hospital/department policies.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a high-acuity acute care setting
Experience with NICU and cardiac cases (including Impella/ECMO) required
