Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Day | 3x12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks 

Short Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by implementing and monitoring individualized nursing care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document initial nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process, starting at admission and continuing through discharge.
• Communicate patient status changes promptly to physicians and charge nurses to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and delegate duties appropriately to ancillary staff.
• Participate in team conferences, safety initiatives, and unit-based collaboration.
• Support a safe work environment through adherence to safety procedures (patient handling, infection control, fall prevention, etc.).
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Manage time effectively and ensure cost-efficient care delivery.

Requirements:

• BLS certification – Required
• ACLS certification – Required
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience
