Job Overview:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides professional mental health services within a correctional facility. This role includes conducting psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, providing psychotherapy, and collaborating with medical and behavioral health teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care. The LCSW utilizes advanced clinical judgment and maintains accurate, timely documentation to ensure proper communication and compliance with institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and gather patient health histories through interviews
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans tailored to patient needs
• Provide therapy, counseling, and crisis intervention services for diverse patient populations
• Serve as clinician-of-the-day for mental health emergencies as assigned
• Maintain prompt, accurate, and comprehensive patient documentation
• Communicate effectively to ensure timely and appropriate patient care
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical providers, and support staff to coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Ensure patient follow-ups and referrals are handled promptly and efficiently
• Apply advanced clinical knowledge and best practices to assess, plan, and deliver care in compliance with ethical and professional standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license (hard copy required)
• Minimum of 12 continuous months of experience within the past 3 years providing direct patient care in a public or private institution
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport)
• Current clinical competencies
