Description

LPN - INPATIENT UNIT

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to follow the plan of care as directed by the RN
Communicate accurately and timely with patients, team members, and management
Apply critical thinking and consider alternatives in patient care delivery
Develop and maintain human care relationships; integrate the influence of health, illness, and healing
Manage self and resources effectively
Apply leadership skills appropriately
Incorporate teaching in care delivery; demonstrate competence in health promotion
Apply knowledge integration skills for patient populations served within the Inpatient Care Unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
Number of beds: 25

Holiday coverage required: Travelers must work two of the following:
- Thanksgiving and Friday/weekend after
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and Friday/weekend after
- New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and Friday/weekend after
Note: Extensions requested to end in November or before December holidays will not be considered for early 2026 extensions
Submission requirements:
- 1+ years of current inpatient experience required
- Must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical record systems
- Small critical access facility experience preferred
- Must have own vehicle and permanent address included in profile
- All RTO must be included in profile
- All scheduling requests must be made at submission; post-offer requests may result in rescinded offer

- Work history
- Skills checklist (current to 1 year)
- 1 supervisory signed reference from the past 2 years
- License/certifications uploaded
On-call: As needed
Weekend: Every other weekend/holiday coverage as required
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
State license: Vermont
Guaranteed hours: 36
