Shift: Nights, 3x12 (18:45–07:15) Position: RN – ICU/PCU Float Requirement: Must be fully comfortable working ALL ICU & ALL PCU units Scheduling & Floating Schedule: 3x12 Nights (18:45–07:15) Floating: Re-evaluated every 4 hours → traveler may float 2–3 times per shift Weekends: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week block Holiday: Must work 1 holiday per 13-week contract Call-Off Policy: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks First-Time Travelers: Accepted Locals: Allowed (radius rule applies—see submittal instructions) Pending License: Accepted only if candidate holds a single-state, non-compact license; otherwise must have active VA or Compact license RTO: Must be submitted with profile No Christmas RTO approved Required Certifications BLS ACLS NIHSS Required Clinical Skills IV therapy: Arterial lines, central/PICC care, blood products, IV starts/maintenance Respiratory: BiPAP/CPAP, vent management Meds: Continuous sedation, emergency meds, titratable cardiac/vasoactive drips Wound care: Surgical wounds, drains, wound vacs Cardiac: Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation & management Endocrine: IV insulin protocol Experience: ICU experience required Large Level I or II facility required Prefer 2+ years Unit Details PCU Ratios: 5:1 ICU Ratios: 2:1 Hospital Highlights Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital 703-bed acute-care teaching hospital Level I Trauma Center (Adult & Pediatrics) Magnet-designated Affiliated with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Dedicated children’s hospital Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Shift Info: Nights, 3x12 (18:45–07:15)
