Position: Travel Echocardiography Technologist (Echo Tech) Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI Assignment Type: Travel
Overview
Marquette General Hospital is seeking a skilled Travel Echocardiography Technologist to join its Cardiology Department. This role is ideal for professionals who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and related diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support accurate diagnoses.
- Document findings and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper care, calibration, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
- Active state licensure in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 2 years recent echocardiography experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of echocardiography systems and protocols.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
