<p><strong>Position:</strong> Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) <strong>Shift:</strong> 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM <strong>Location:</strong> Jackson Purchase Medical Center, Mayfield, KY <strong>Assignment Type:</strong> Travel</p><h2>Overview</h2><p>Jackson Purchase Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse to join its critical care team. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in high-acuity environments and are committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients with complex medical needs.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment of critically ill patients.</li><li>Administer medications, therapies, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.</li><li>Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.</li><li>Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with hospital policies.</li><li>Respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.</li><li>Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.</li><li>Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state.</li><li>Minimum of 2 + years recent ICU experience required.</li><li>BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN certification preferred.</li><li>Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.</li></ul>
