Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Location: Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces, NM Assignment Type: Travel
Overview
Memorial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel ER Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients with urgent and emergent medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room, including triage, assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
- Administer medications, therapies, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and defibrillators.
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
