Facility Overview

• State-of-the-art hospital with 52 medical/surgical beds, 12 acute rehabilitation beds, 12 intensive care beds, and an 8-bed labor, delivery, and postpartum unit
• Only all-private bed hospital serving the Bullhead City/Laughlin/Needles area
• 16-bed emergency department open 24/7
• Surgery department includes six major operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, and a cardiac catheterization unit
• Advanced diagnostic imaging with digital mammograms, PET-CTs, nuclear medicine, and instant digital image access

Unit Profile

• Department: OB/Gyn
• Trauma Level: Level 1, Well Baby Center
• Floor Beds: 9
• Patient Population: Labor, Post-Partum, Neonates
• Patient Ratios: Vary based on patient acuity
• Equipment: IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal doppler, syringe pump
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems: Med Host + Centricity

Position Details

• Role: RN, Labor & Delivery Specialty
• Shift: PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required (days on Saturday/Sunday, nights on Friday/Saturday)
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • STABLE certification
  • Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate or Advanced
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in labor and delivery
• Must Have Skills:

  • Labor and postpartum care
  • Well baby care
  • Stabilization of critical newborns for transfer
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Centricity EHR system
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Term and late preterm indications such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
• Personality Fit: Team player, flexible schedule, experience with Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) units
