Job Overview:
This role is based in a Level II trauma center, primarily within the inpatient main Operating Room. The Surgical Technologist may also float to an outpatient Same Day Surgery center as needed. The position requires strong technical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment, and flexibility in supporting various operative specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and RN staff during operative procedures by preparing and organizing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure proper sterilization techniques and adherence to infection control standards.
• Support OR team with room turnover, equipment setup, and surgical counts.
• Collaborate with peers across inpatient and outpatient surgical settings when floating is required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist OR graduate of an accredited Operating Room Technician program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work an 8-hour PM shift beginning at 14:15.
• Holiday coverage required.

Additional Details:

• 13-week contract.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• W-2 employment status required through the submitting agency.
• Roles in surgical services may require floating based on department needs.
