Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is open to both local clinicians and travel RRTs. The ideal candidate is skilled in patient assessment, respiratory care therapies, and managing equipment in acute-care and critical-care settings.

Local Rate-$60.00 an hour 

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments according to physician orders
• Assess and monitor patients with respiratory compromise
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen therapy systems
• Perform airway management including suctioning and intubation assistance
• Conduct diagnostic testing such as ABGs and pulmonary function tests (if applicable)
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Follow respiratory care protocols, safety procedures, and infection control standards

Requirements

• Active RRT credential through NBRC
• Active state respiratory therapist license
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute-care or ICU respiratory experience
• Current BLS

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
