Description

RN - PSYCH/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
- Shift: 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Description: Children's unit – must be comfortable and experienced
Location Policy: Candidates within 35 miles of Brattleboro Retreat subject to 10% rate decrease; include address or driver's license in submission
- Unit Overview:
- Works with multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions
- Utilizes nursing process for complex patient care
- Provides clinical supervision of MHWs for safe, therapeutic care
- Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program offers 24-hour care in safe, nurturing environment
- Focus on sobriety and managing co-occurring psychiatric issues (Depression, Bipolar, Anxiety, etc.)
Medically assisted withdrawal, stabilization, education for recovery
- Submission Requirements:
- 5 years Psych RN experience required; inpatient psych experience must be within last 3 months; LTC not accepted
- Children's Psych/Behavioral Health experience with age groups listed on resume
- Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts
First-time travelers considered
- Profile Requirements:
- Resume with psych experience and age groups (e.g., Psych RN – Facility – Age Group/Population – Dates)
- RTO cannot exceed 7 days
- Psych skills checklist (within last year)
- 2 supervisory references from last 2 years
- Certifications: CPI preferred; BLS (AHA) required; 8 hours NBO added if CPI not active
- License: confirm willingness and eligibility to obtain; include in profile
- Driver's license or candidate address required in submission packet
Scheduling Requirements: Any requests must be included in submission file
- OnCall: Possible call
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- Certifications: BLS (AHA)
- State Licenses: Vermont
- Facility Description: For children ages 5–12 experiencing serious emotional and behavioral challenges; provides acute crisis stabilization, assessment, and treatment
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
