Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care, support patient mobility, and assist in treatment planning to promote optimal recovery and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions.
- Document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any notable changes.
- Collaborate with the rehab team and facility staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Support patient education regarding therapy goals, safety, and at-home exercises.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant therapy environment.
Requirements:
- Active state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant (must be current).
- SNF experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while following the PT’s plan of care.
- BLS certification may be required per facility standards.
Assignment Details:
- 13-week contract
- 8-hour day shifts
