Type: 13 Weeks, can go upto 26 weeks
Location: Seattle, WA 98195
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) *Day Shift is Available Too*

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our maternity care team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of both mother and newborn. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a thorough understanding of obstetric procedures, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal vital signs continuously during labor and delivery using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic.
• Administer medications including analgesics, antibiotics, and other necessary drugs with precision, adhering to hospital protocols and medication administration standards.
• Assist with labor management, including performing sterile procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and IV insertion to support safe delivery processes.
• Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent infection control issues.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support postpartum recovery by monitoring for complications such as hemorrhage or infection; assist with memory care for new mothers experiencing emotional or physical challenges.

Requirements

• **HIGHLY PREFERS traveler to work Christmas.**
• Prefers to have 3+ years of relevant experience.
• AHA BLS, WA State RN License
• Experience working with EPIC
