Float Pool RN – Med Surg (Night Shift)

Location: Helena, MT (59601)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Start Date: December 14, 2025

End Date: March 14, 2026

Shift: 12-hour Nights

Ratios: 1:5–6

Radius Rule: Candidates must live outside a 200-mile radius

Job Summary

The Float Pool RN provides high-quality patient care across multiple units, including medical and surgical/oncology floors. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and prior travel nursing experience to ensure seamless support in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients in medical and surgical/oncology units
Float between assigned units as required to meet facility needs
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and fellow nurses to ensure continuity of care
Document patient care and procedures using Epic EMR
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
Participate in direct interviews with managers following HWL prescreening

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Current BLS certification
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Ability to float between medical and surgical/oncology units
