Description
We are seeking a dedicated and clinically strong Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Cardiopulmonary team for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive respiratory care while functioning independently with minimal supervision.
Note: Any RTO must be pre-approved and will be added to the end of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized respiratory assessments and care based on patient needs.
- Administer respiratory therapies, treatments, and diagnostic tests.
- Document all assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Operate respiratory and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain competency in respiratory care procedures across all age groups.
- Meet department-specific criteria and clinical standards.
- Function independently after orientation with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (must be current)
- Ability to practice within the full scope of an RCP
- Strong OB respiratory experience preferred
- Preferably 1 year of recent acute care experience (new grads considered)
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs (floor to waist, wheelchair to bed, stretcher transfer)
- Push up to 150 lbs (loaded stretcher for 300 feet)
- Lift 5 lbs overhead
- Adequate vision and hearing to perform procedures and assessments
- Ability to meet all Cardiopulmonary department physical and clinical standards
