Description

We are seeking a dedicated and clinically strong Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Cardiopulmonary team for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive respiratory care while functioning independently with minimal supervision.

 

Note: Any RTO must be pre-approved and will be added to the end of the contract.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized respiratory assessments and care based on patient needs.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, treatments, and diagnostic tests.
  • Document all assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Operate respiratory and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain competency in respiratory care procedures across all age groups.
  • Meet department-specific criteria and clinical standards.
  • Function independently after orientation with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (must be current)
  • Ability to practice within the full scope of an RCP
  • Strong OB respiratory experience preferred
  • Preferably 1 year of recent acute care experience (new grads considered)

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs (floor to waist, wheelchair to bed, stretcher transfer)
  • Push up to 150 lbs (loaded stretcher for 300 feet)
  • Lift 5 lbs overhead
  • Adequate vision and hearing to perform procedures and assessments
  • Ability to meet all Cardiopulmonary department physical and clinical standards
