Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Orientation: 12 hours + 1 week unit orientation (includes on-call buddy shift)
Experience Required: 3+ years hospital Cardiac Cath/IR experience

Submission Requirements

Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- ACLS (AHA) – Required
- RCIS – Required
License: Not required for submission
Driver’s License: Required at submission (used to verify 50-mile rule)
RTO: Must be provided upfront (max 7 days per 13-week contract; no additional RTO approved after submission)
Radius Rule:
- Must live 50+ miles from the facility
- Cannot be FT/PT/PRN at any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility
Fingernail Policy: NO artificial nails (non-compliance = termination)
Drug-Free Campus: Must pass compliance requirements
Radiation Badge: Provided by client

Common Diagnoses/Patient Types:
- Compression FX, Venous Access, Hydronephrosis
- Chest Pain, Pulmonary Hypertension, SOB
- Gastric Ulcer, PE, DVT
Job Duties:
- Intra-procedural circulating
- Supplies & medication administration
- Sedation
Must-Have Skills:
- 3+ years hospital Cath Lab/IR experience
- Able to support IR + Cardiac inpatient add-ons
- Prepared for STEMIs (treat up to IABP for stabilization)

Scheduling, Call & Floating

Supervisor Approves Scheduling (not self-scheduling)
Weeknight Call: Minimum 10 shifts
Weekend Call: Minimum 2 weekends (1 IR + 1 Cardiac)
Holiday Call: Required
Call Response Time:
- 30 minutes from IMC
- ASAP to LKS / MCB / Bergan
Floating: Yes — daily & on-call to all 3 campuses (Immanuel, Lakeside, Mercy CB)

Additional Notes

Very versatile lab: primarily IR with Cardiac inpatient add-ons
Prepared for STEMIs; able to stabilize up to IABP
Call Team Covers 3 Campuses After Hours:
- Typically off-campus when receiving emergent calls
- Must live centrally enough to meet response times
- In the last 30 days: ~8 call-backs (could be on some or none depending on schedule)
