PERMANENT Infection Control Nurse – Full Time, Days
Floresville, TX
Pay Range: $36.37–$55.00/hr (based on experience)

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse to support hospital-wide infection prevention efforts, ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, and promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role also functions as the Employee Health Nurse.

Responsibilities:
• Review daily census and identify community-acquired and communicable diseases
• Monitor patient records for healthcare-acquired infections
• Compare lab results against communicable disease lists to determine necessary precautions
• Advise physicians, nurses, and staff on infection prevention protocols
• Investigate infection control concerns and coordinate follow-up for exposures
• Provide staff education on universal and disease-specific precautions
• Maintain and manage employee immunization records
• Support compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, CLIA, and public health requirements
• Collaborate with Infection Control Manager on system-wide prevention efforts

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN required or equivalent)
• Active RN license
• Infection control or epidemiology coursework required
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience with infection control methods
• Strong computer skills preferred

Schedule:
• Full-time, Day shift
• No travel required
