Title:  Sterile Processing Tech

Location: Rochester, NY

Shift: Evenings, weekends, holidays, on call/callback per unit needs/40 hours/week

Pay: $32/hr

Job Description: 

The Department of Sterile and Materials Processing is a state-of-the-art instrument processing and sterilizing facility. The Sterile Processing Department assists in the decontamination, High Level Disinfection (HLD), assembling, sterilization and distribution of clean and sterile surgical instruments, trays and pans. These functions are done by state of the art decontamination, HLD and sterilization capital equipment. Instruments, trays and pans are assembled, processed, and distributed to 35 O.R Suites, AFC units, and clinics. These instruments, trays, and pans are tracked by Getinge’s T-DOC bar code system.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Sterilizers, heat sealers, ultrasonic washer, aerator, utensil washer, cart wash, Steris units, hand and power tools, calibration instruments, repair equipment and parts.

MUST HAVES:

• Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD)
• BLS
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as SPT
• Large hospital experience (500 bed plus)
• Must have travel experience (6 months)
• 2 professional references from last two experience

Preferred:

·       Level 1 trauma center experience

·       Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER Cert)

·       Orthopedic tray experience
