Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist (Day Shift) Location: Riverview Medical Center, Carthage, TN Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Contract Type: Travel Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Riverview Medical Center in Carthage, Tennessee. This is a critical access hospital setting where the therapist will play a vital role in providing high-quality respiratory care across emergency and critical care environments. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and deliver safe, effective care to patients with diverse respiratory needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
• Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis
• Provide respiratory support in ER and critical care settings
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Must Have Skills/Experience:

• Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting
• Comfortable being the only Respiratory Therapist on shift
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in ER and critical care settings
• Required Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
