Facility Type: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital Trauma Level: III Documentation System: Epic Medication System: Pyxis Position Details Role: Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating Schedule: 36 hours per week (with potential for additional hours) Self-Scheduling: No Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Call Requirement: No Holiday Requirement: Yes Float Required: Yes Float Units: Med/Surg, ED, Birthing Center at Porter Medical Center Rotation: As needed Start & Compliance Requirements CRU MUST START WITHIN 2 WEEKS Vermont RT License must be on file at time of submission NRP required upon submission Epic experience within the past 2 years — REQUIRED and non-negotiable NICU experience within the past year required IVS to Offer Certifications Required RRT or CRT AHA BLS AHA ACLS AHA PALS NRP (must be active at submission) Certifications Preferred: Any additional specialty credentials Experience Requirements 2+ years RT clinical experience 2+ years in specialty (RT) NICU experience required (within the last 1 year) Experience with respiratory care for all age ranges (newborn to geriatric) Must demonstrate competencies for all specialties listed in work history Patient Population Ages: 0 to 100+ Settings include: ICU, ED, Med/Surg, Birthing Center General respiratory therapy caseload across entire 25-bed CAH Equipment / Unit Information Ventilators managed by RT Special equipment varies by unit Must be comfortable with newborn & pediatric care Dress Code Scrubs: No specific color required Shoes: Closed-toe, comfortable Jewelry: Follow facility policy Hair/Beard: Groomed, professional Nails: No specific restrictions Rates Travel Rate: $105/hr Radius Rule: Local: $95/hr (50 miles or less) Travel: $105/hr (51–100 miles) Distance measured as straight-line radius, not driving distance Additional Notes Orientation weekly (typically Monday) All work history MUST include: Facility type Bed count EMR used Clear documentation of skills & specialties used No block scheduling permitted Employment gaps >90 days must be clearly explained Public transportation is not available – personal or rental vehicle required Winter months (Nov–Apr): all-season or snow tires strongly recommended
