Description
Responsibilities
- Perform 36–42 respiratory treatments per 12-hour shift (12–14 every 4 hours).
- Manage all respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow systems, cough assist devices, CPAP, and airway clearance devices.
- Provide respiratory care for Adults (all floors), Pediatrics, and NICU (if assigned).
- Conduct ABGs and assist with intubation as needed (no independent intubation for travelers).
- Support patient transport and collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and the respiratory lead on shift.
- Float as needed to Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center.
- Work required weekends (every other) and holidays when on contract.
- Follow departmental standards, scheduling guidelines, and dress code.
Requirements
Experience:
- RRT: minimum 2–3 years inpatient experience
- CRT: minimum 3–5 years inpatient experience
- NICU assignments require experience with NAVA ventilation on Servo units
- First-time travelers accepted
Licenses & Certifications:
- RRT preferred; CRT accepted with required experience
- Adults: BLS, ACLS
- Pediatrics: BLS, PALS
- NICU: BLS, NRP
