Job Title: Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift) Location: North Alabama Medical Center, Florence, AL Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Contract Type: Travel Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in the Labor & Delivery unit at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret vital signs, and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and procedures
• Educate patients and families on prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care
• Document patient care accurately and ensure compliance with facility standards
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for mothers, infants, and families

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Alabama or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (NRP preferred)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Completion of all onboarding and compliance requirements
